Nonna Agente Segreto is a personal project but done always keeping in mind a feasible three-dimensional space (for the granny at least!).
While I was still studying animation in 2009, I got an idea of writing an animated short about an elderly lady who was once a very skilled secret agent and is now retired grappling with her extraordinary simple everyday life.
The project has changed millions of faces over the years, from fast and furious scenes with shopping carts to kung fu in a church, with crucifixes like ninja stars.
Over time the gags have given way to a more intimate idea, linked to the person and the feelings connected to her home. I will tell you all about it one day.

Below you can find the development of the environment, granny's little house, and her character design.
I wanted to make her house fully equipped, with all the necessities that a home should have, laundry room included.
I have also thought about details like the water pipes, for example. The sinks in the kitchen and the laundry room lay almost in the same position, even if they are on different floors.
Like you would see in a real house (not a rule, but you would ease the plumbers' work in construction!).
