Speedy CAMP

Restyle with consideration for the past.

Welcome to Speedy CAMP, the themed area inside the Union Lido campsite, Jesolo (VE).
I had a lot of fun helping the talented Matteo Simion, Art Director of Creative App Design with this project.
As you see, the final constructed result is almost visually identical to the concept drawings.

The strength of these works is the consideration of the big picture from the very beginning, of who would have come after us in production.
If from the beginning you care about the final purpose of your artworks, the decisions you will make while drawing will be more accurate and efficient.

I took care of the restyling of the mascots too, keeping the visual connection with the old design, so as not to lose the emotional bond already created on the customers with the old mascot.
Here again, knowing that there will be a costume of a mascot or some gadgets of it following your drawing makes you choose shapes aimed at optimizing the process for those who will take care of the job after you.

Plus, Matteo and me we worked on the same drawings in different phases, which made the design even more robust; a quick 3D blockout facilitated the communication with sculpture artists.
Helping each other out, it's a team effort!
