Two immersive VR rides, one fearless mascot, and a mission to make marine education unforgettable.
What it is
Commissioned by Loveland Living Planet Aquarium and developed by Red Raion, EECO Voyager is a two-part immersive experience combining VR headsets, motion seats, and a physical preshow environment.
Designed to both educate and entertain, the experience takes visitors on a deep-sea journey, with a charismatic mascot as their guide.

What I did
As Creative Director, I led the vision from the very start for:
• Coordinating the initial brainstorming phase with the client, translating their vision into structured creative documentation.
• Shaping the educational narrative to be emotionally engaging and spatially coherent with the physical layout of the attraction (which was being designed in parallel).
• Directing all stages of development: mascot design, environment concepting, storytelling and mood.
• Supervising the entire pre-production phase, ensuring a sharp narrative and a cohesive art direction.
• Monitoring together with Federico Laudani the CGI pipeline from top to bottom: character and environment modeling, animation, VFX, sound design, and post-production.
Why it worked
Because every choice — visual, narrative, or technical — was grounded in who the audience is, what the space offers, and how to make learning stick through wonder.
A smooth collaboration between content creators and attraction designers made this a ride with both heart and brain.

And it paid off: EECO Voyager won the IAAPA Brass Ring Award for Best New Product in the Virtual and Augmented Reality category.
